I saw some fake account spreading misinformation about this yesterday, on one hand pretending my account was hacked, while on the other hand themselves impersonating my account by using one of my PFP and name without authorisation. I reported them and they’re suspended now but it will probably happen again so please remember : No. None of my X and Arena accounts were ever hacked. Read what actually happened in my quoted post (and room) if you didn’t already. The unknown X account that uses my handle now is not mine (I deleted my X account and have been using email login since then) therefore it should never have been able to access my Arena account just because it took over my handle as I expect the Arena login process to check the X account ID or associated key before granting access, and my X account ID is irremediably disabled. Moreover I have 2FA and external wallet enabled on my Arena account. In around six months of having been in this situation, there was never any suspicious activity on my account. Unfortunately, my Arena handle remains the same and my Arena profile still points to the X handle that I abandoned. There’s nothing I can do about this. So I decided to transition progressively to a new 2FA enabled account where all my assets (tickets, tokens and staking etc..) are held already using an external wallet wherever possible. I’ll keep using at least until the last claim of my Arena airdrop v1 and uprising rewards though. Hope this clarifies the situation enough for anyone caring.

Btw there is additional proof that the X account that took my abandoned handle over never logged in my Arena account : Next to the fact that it’s most likely impossible for obvious technical and security reasons (different account ID), it’s a known and verified fact that the number of X followers only gets updated every time the user logs in from X, not under any other circumstance. And my X follower count here hasn’t changed since I deleted my X account and therefore stopped using X login (in favour of email login) around 6 months ago. It also does not match the follower count of the new owner of my handle.. Quod erat demonstrandum 👨‍🎓 Yours truly 😜

I didn't see it coming on X, These guys always try to find ways to scam people by huge and trusted name. But if i saw one, i'll never trust it either cause as long as i know you removing your X account and you didn't like X though. Kinda surprise when i saw you're moving my ticket to new account few days ago, NGL i thought you're Arena account hacked. But i just check that you follow each other so i can be sure that it's your second account. Thanks for your confirmation here

Noted. Thank you for the information, my good sir. It would be ideal to have the option of editing our handles as well as creating an account from within The Arena. Thus negating any dependence upon X.
