I have held NFTs across several ecosystems, but DeGods has always felt different.
It was never only about the artwork or the floor price. It was a community filled with creators, builders and some of the strongest personalities in Web3.
The latest major development, deBay, shows that the project is still capable of building useful products.
The collection-first marketplace brings together DeGods, y00ts and BTC DeGods, with cross-market listings, trait data, live activity and a user experience designed specifically for these collections.
This is meaningful infrastructure, but the greatest DeGods product was always its culture.
People joined because the community felt alive, unpredictable and united around a shared identity. Technology can strengthen that culture, but it cannot replace the human energy that created it.
As a holder, I believe the next chapter should combine product development with a return to those roots:
